P20EE DTC Repair in MD1CS003 ECU — 1.5 BlueHDi (PSA / Stellantis)

What is the P20EE error?

P20EE is a DTC related to the AdBlue/SCR system in 1.5 BlueHDi (DV5 family) engines from the PSA / Stellantis group. The MD1CS003 ECU (Bosch) detects reductant quality or consumption irregularities and stores an entry in memory. This entry is not clearable through standard OBD diagnostics (Diagbox / Lexia / OPELScan / Toyota TIS) — it persists even after replacing the AdBlue injector, NOx sensors, DPF regeneration, or physical SCR system repair.

Supported engines — DV5 family

The MD1CS003 ECU handles all 1.5 BlueHDi power variants:

After PSA acquired Opel (2017), 1.5 BlueHDi engines also entered the Opel/Vauxhall range under the names "1.5 Diesel" / "1.5 Turbo D":

Toyota produces LCVs in the Stellantis factory (Hordain/Vigo) and uses the same 1.5 BlueHDi engines under the name 1.5 D-4D:

Fiat / Fiat Professional (from 2022, after Stellantis merger) — supported models

Note: some Fiat documents describe these units as "BlueHDi 95/115" — same DV5RUCD/DV5RUC family with different homologation parameters from the 2021 announcement phase. Production version since 2022 = 100/120 hp.

Models that do NOT have 1.5 BlueHDi (parts catalog confusions)

These models are sometimes incorrectly listed as "1.5 BlueHDi" in parts catalogs — in reality they use different engines:

• Peugeot Boxer / Citroën Jumper / Fiat Ducato (large LCVs) — use 2.2 BlueHDi (DW12), NOT DV5
• Citroën C5 X (2022+) — only PureTech petrol and PHEV, no 1.5 diesel
• Peugeot 408 (2022+) — only PureTech petrol and PHEV
• Opel Insignia B — production ended 2022, didn't receive DV5 in time
• Toyota ProAce I (2013–2016) — used 1.6 HDi (DV6) and 2.0 HDi (DW10), not DV5

If your car is on this list with a P20EE error — your ECU is NOT MD1CS003 (e.g. for 2.0 BlueHDi DW10F it's a different ECU model). Contact us, we'll check if we can help with a different tool.
